Luis was born in Arequipa, Peru and baptised at El Sagrario in Arequipa on 1-8-1889 (baptisim record attached below - thanks to familysearch.com), 8 days after his mother died, possibly from birth complications. Luis migrated with his older bother & sister and possibly a grandmother to Chile when he was very young. Luis, married had children yet he died when his children were very young, he was 32 years old, apparently his youngest daughter Yolanda was 1 year old at the time. Luis's wife Blanca Marian also died young, 9 years after he did and their children were left orphaned. Luis's brother Eduardo, and his wife Clara, took on the 5 children and raised them for a very short time, as they both died suddenly, so the children were then brought up by their oldest niece Margot Caillaux, daughter of Eduardo, and by Margot's husband Arturo Jenkins.
