Clara was 1 of 3, out of 6 siblings that immigrated from Peru to Chile and married into the Caillaux family. Clara married Eduardo and with the years they apparently lead quite separate lives. Her husband did not like to participate in family parties and few photos were taken of them together or of him. The only photos that were available burnt in a house fire. It has been mentioned in the family that Clara had a difficult character and was jealous of her sister-in-law Amelie, whom her husband adored. It is rumoured he became dis-enamoured with Clara & took up with another lady he worked with, & he lived a lot of the time at his place of work, which was his business. Clara died suddenly after having a heart attack after getting food poisoning on a trip to Valparaiso eating seafood. Her husband Eduardo died suddenly also a week after she did. Her sister Blanca Marian Frescarode, married Luis Caillaux Chavaniex and her brother Carlos Marian Frescarode, married Amelie Caillaux Chavaneix. It is rumored that they all met on the ship from Peru to Chile, though this has never been confirmed and they all seemed to come from Arequipa, so may have known each other from there. They were as a consequence of their relationship, very close as a family.
