 Caillaux Conference in Chile 2006

It is with great delight and huge enthusiasm, that I announce that we are in the process of organising a get together for the Caillaux Clan in Santiago Chile in April 2006.
This may be one of those one in a life time opportunities for us all to gather in the one location and meet with our past, our present and our future!
I am turning 40 on the 31st of March 2006, and my beautiful parents decided to give me a trip to Chile for a month, as my gift for coming of age (the responsible age!). So of course this got me thinking....
....what a perfect opportunity! I'll be in Chile, my parents will be in Chile, my sister will also be joining us in Chile, my cousins, aunts, newphews and nieces and my dear grandmother Marta Caillaux is in Chile, and of course Chile is much much closer for those Caillaux's that want to join in, than Australia!
So we have 9 months, that means, 9months for all of us that would love to meet up, to make plans and make it happen.
Vivi Mossert Caillaux, Javier Berrios Caillaux and I are in the process of organising a special place to organise an event, that will be simple yet beautiful.
The idea is to meet, have fun, share stories, photos, get to know each other and then be able to step back into our own lives, proudly knowing a little more about ourselves, our family and our heritage.
This is a work in progress, we could have speeches, as long as they are humourous or emotionally touching, having us all weeping gently in recognition of a special moment, followed of course by another funny speech and a toast to celebrate the grand event.
We will be placing up-dates on our progress here on the site. If you have any ideas that you would like incorporated...such as: a video conference link for those that cannot attend in person, then please send them to us, the more ideas the better, together we can make this a truly special event.
There is an article poll on the right of this news article, designed to give us an idea, as to the numbers we may entertain on the day, or an idea of numbers on who is currently interested in attending. You can answer for others if they do not have access to a computer.
